A

conference was held at The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame on Monday
morning to preview the MHSAA/BankPlus state football championships.
Players, coaches and administrators from the 12 schools participating
in the six games were available for media interviews.

For
the second consecutive season, Quarterback Anthony Alford has been
named Mississippi's top football player.

invite to U.S.
Army All-American Bowl
Anthony
Alford has been selected to play in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American
Bowl, joining an elite group of All-Americans. Those selected will play
in the game on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at the Alamodome in San
Antonia, Texas. The game will be televised live on NBC at
1:00
p.m. EST. The game will feature the nation's top 90 high school
football players.
