Media Day

A press conference was held at The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame on Monday morning to preview the MHSAA/BankPlus state football championships. Players, coaches and administrators from the 12 schools participating in the six games were available for media interviews.

Anthony Alford named 2011-12 Gatorade Player of the Year
For the second consecutive season, Quarterback Anthony Alford has been named Mississippi's top football player.

Army game

Alford receives official invite to U.S. Army All-American Bowl
Anthony Alford has been selected to play in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, joining an elite group of All-Americans. Those selected will play in the game on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at the Alamodome in San Antonia, Texas. The  game will be televised live on NBC at 1:00 p.m. EST. The game will feature the nation's top 90 high school football players.
